So long story short, my mom does pro bono lawyer stuff for mutants, and FoH-type people have decided to start threatening her, and since I actually like my mother quite a bit, I'm going back to Seattle for an undetermined amount of time to be closer to her and make sure no one actually makes good on their threats.

Also, I'm kidnapping Sooraya because it's like a four-day car drive and my cat won't be nearly as good company as another human being. I'll give her back eventually.

I've got my phone, email, all the fun technology stuff to stay in touch, so don't be a stranger.

And don't go burning anything down without me. That would just be sad.

There are about twenty pizzas in the rec room for volunteers from the whole fire thing. Twenty might not be enough if you're all half as hungry as I am, but it's a start

I'm not saying I wouldn't stay at this place for a night or anything. I'm just saying, the probability of there being a guy in a hockey mask running around and stabbing people is pretty high.

If a groundhog sees its shadow and no one is looking, is there still six more weeks of winter?

And it is to travel to all the places in the world where I find ridiculous food.

Well, we have done it. My lovely assistant (Clint) and I have succeeded in making Kyle-edible peanut butter and crunchy nut and chocolate cookies.

Rogue, Clarice, Scott, and I are taking off for a few days - we realized we need a vacation and we here Vegas is lovely this time of year. We're leaving tomorrow and we'll be back Thursday.
